For Pilots
SkyQuote charges the lowest commission rates in the industry:
- Starter Plan ($29/mo): 2.5% commission - You keep 97.5%
- Professional Plan ($99/mo): 1.5% commission - You keep 98.5%
- Enterprise Plan ($299/mo): 1% commission - You keep 99%

UNLIMITED at every paid tier!
Unlike other platforms that limit your bidding, we believe in no artificial caps on your success. Whether you're on Starter, Professional, or Enterprise, you can bid on as many jobs as you want.
Note: Free tier can browse jobs but cannot submit bids. Upgrade to any paid plan to start bidding.
Payment is handled through Stripe Connect escrow:
- When you win a job, the client pays upfront
- Funds are held in escrow by Stripe
- You complete the work and submit deliverables
- Client approves the work
- Payment is released to your bank account (minus commission)
You'll receive payment typically within 2-3 business days of approval. No chasing clients for payment!
Nothing! There's no cost to submit bids. If your bid isn't selected, you simply move on to the next opportunity.
With unlimited bidding, you can submit as many proposals as you want. The more you bid, the more you win!
Currently, you cannot withdraw a bid after submission. However, if the client hasn't awarded the job yet, you can contact support to request bid withdrawal.
We recommend double-checking your bid amount and timeline before submitting!
For Clients
Free for your first job! Guest users can post 1 job every 30 days with just email verification.
For unlimited posting and lower platform fees, we offer subscription plans:
- Pay-Per-Use (Free): Unlimited jobs, 3% platform fee + Stripe processing
- Basic ($29/mo): Unlimited jobs, 2% platform fee + Stripe
- Premium ($99/mo): Unlimited jobs, 1% platform fee + Stripe
The number of bids depends on:
- Job location and pilot availability in your area
- Service type complexity
- Budget range competitiveness
- Project timeline and urgency
Most jobs receive 3-10 bids within the first 48 hours. You'll be notified via email when new bids are submitted.
Yes! All pilots on SkyQuote must:
- Hold a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Maintain current drone insurance
- Pass identity verification
You can view each pilot's experience, certifications, past projects, and ratings before making your decision.
We have a dispute resolution process:
- Contact the pilot directly to discuss concerns
- Request revisions if deliverables don't meet specifications
- If unresolved, escalate to SkyQuote support
- Funds remain in escrow until dispute is resolved
Our goal is fair resolution for both parties. We review the original job posting, bid details, and deliverables to make an informed decision.
Pricing & Fees
Stripe charges standard payment processing fees:
- 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for credit/debit cards
- 1% additional for international cards
These fees are separate from SkyQuote's platform fees and are paid directly to Stripe for secure payment processing.
For a $1,000 job with Starter tier pilot:
- Client pays: $1,000 + 3% platform fee ($30) + Stripe fees (~$30) = $1,060 total
- Pilot receives: $1,000 - 2.5% commission ($25) = $975
- SkyQuote earns: $30 (client fee) + $25 (pilot commission) - $30 (Stripe) = $25
Compare to DroneBase where the client pays $1,000 but the pilot only receives $200-300!
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade anytime:
- Upgrades: Take effect immediately, prorated billing
- Downgrades: Take effect at next billing cycle

Payments & Escrow
Escrow protects both pilots and clients:
- Client awards the job to a pilot
- Client pays the full amount upfront
- Funds are held securely by Stripe (not SkyQuote)
- Pilot completes the work
- Client approves deliverables
- Funds are released to pilot's bank account
This ensures pilots get paid for completed work and clients receive deliverables before payment is released.
Payment timeline:
- Complete work and upload deliverables
- Client has 7 days to review and approve
- Upon approval, funds are released to your Stripe account
- Stripe transfers to your bank account within 2-3 business days
If client doesn't respond within 7 days, payment is auto-released to you.
We accept:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- ACH bank transfers (coming soon)
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor.
